Thea Bowman Center offers after-school and summer programming to support working parents and families to have a safe place for children to come and participate in learning activities i.e. help with homework, music, arts, and crafts.Currently, due to COVID-19, our after school will be online –Homework help, tutoringand art activities. GRADEPOWER TUTORING PROGRAM
GRAB and go meals are available to parents of children 3-18 years old Monday – Thursday: 3:30 TO 4:30 pm.
This program is open to anyone in the community in need of food support.
Food Support is available to families and children including emergency needs. Parents or school representatives can call Ms. BJ Brown if they need special arrangements for food support Monday Thursday from 9-3: 216-491-0699.
Protective items (masks and hand sanitizers) are also available to parents and children.
Word/Power tutoring services are free and available to any child in K to 12th grade. Services are online or in-person services can be arranged. If a child needs help with any subject and has a computer at home services are available online. Please call (216) 491-0699 to arrange for tutoring or complete the form online.
Violin learning is available after school at the Thea Bowman Center. This program is in partnership with Nathan Hale School and children can learn how to play the violin and engage in singing. Children K- 8th grade will participate in a community performance at the center and in the community. Please call 216-491-0699 to register for the music program or complete form online.
